On December 28th 2022, Jill E. Harrison (59), had her time with us come to a close while she was in her Enfield home.
Jill was born on the fourth of June in Windham, Connecticut to parents Robert Harrison and Joan Reinhardt. After graduating high school at Enrico Fermi in 1981, Jill committed most of her working life to animals. As a talented dog groomer, Jill shared her love and knowledge for animals with her daughters and all of those around her.
During life’s struggles, Jill was able to find moments of peace through creative outlets such as drawing, painting, and arranging florals. She also enjoyed expressing herself through her sense of style and was always keeping up on the latest fashion trends. For Jill, happiness was being on the sands of Crescent Beach eating Moose Munch and Butter Pecan ice cream.
Although her life had many ups and downs, Jill never wanted to be defined by her mistakes. She would want to be remembered for her deep love of her family and friends and for her ability to see the good in everyone.
Jill is survived by her two daughters, Paige Gorman (27) and Shivaughn Hill (22) both of Hartford, Connecticut. She was a proud grandmother to pup Sadie and kitty Leo. Her memory will live on with dear friends as well as her brothers Stephen & Glen Jacobs, their wives Robin and Susie, nephews Stevie and Tyler, nieces Lauren and Kristina, cousin Gordon and his daughter Sarah. Jill was predeceased by her parents, her sister Jennifer Roberts, and a number of close friends who’s time on this earth had not felt long enough.
Visitation will be held at Luddy and Peterson’s Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, New Britain, CT 06051 on Saturday, January 14th from 2:00-4:00 PM. The family encourages attendees to wear face coverings to the service. A closed reception will follow.
Flowers addressed to the Family of Jill Harrison may be sent to Luddy and Peterson’s Funeral Home for the memorial service. Thereafter or in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shivaughn Hill Scholarship Fund.
