Joseph Paul Pezzullo, 66, of Stratford, CT, died at Yale-New Haven Hospital on Nov 15, 2021, after a long illness. 

Joe was a world traveler, a lover of music and a great storyteller. He was a skilled tradesman who worked for many years in New Orleans and New York City. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees in English from the University of Rhode Island, where he won awards for his writing.

The son of Joseph J. Pezzullo and Gloria A. (Mainella) Pezzullo, Joe was born on April 28, 1955 in Providence, Rhode Island. He leaves behind his wife, Amnuay Pezzullo, three children, Ratanasak Sukphon, Stevie Pezzullo and Isabella Pezzullo, and his brother Raymond J. Pezzullo and sister Lori Desmarais.

Joe also leaves behind a far-flung group of friends who will miss his warmth, humor and compassion. Joe’s long-time health struggles never diminished his love for his family and friends nor dampened his curiosity about the world. His strength of spirit has been, and will continue to be, an inspiration to all who knew him.
