Karen (Eckhart) Beaudry

 
Karen Beth Beaudry (Eckhart), of Willimantic, wife of Wayne (Bud) Beaudry, passed away peacefully on October 1 at Hartford Hospital.  Karen had a big heart and will be remembered by all for her warmth, generosity and love of her grandchildren, family, friends, and all animals.  Karen is the beloved daughter of June Eckhart and the late Kenneth Eckhart and mother to Kara Royce (Beaudry) and Joshua Beaudry. She leaves a sister, Kendra Eckhart, brothers David Eckhart, Scott Eckhart and wife Leslie Harmon, her cherished granddaughters, Kandace and Brianna Royce, several cousins, and her many animals. Anyone who knew Karen will remember her love for animals. Upon moving to a small farm in Willimantic, she was devoted to her many dogs, horses, ponies, sheep and occasional llama and goat. Mending broken fences, rounding up loose horses and aiding with sick dogs never lessened her love for her animals. Her legacy includes many stories of her kindness to friends and her great love of her granddaughters Kandace and Brianna Royce. Her smile and laugh will be truly missed.  If you experienced her kindness, please donate to a local animal shelter of your choice in her name. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
