Karen Chadwick, 60, of Milford Connecticut, passed away peacefully July 14th 2026 surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in The Bronx, New York, Karen made Milford her home, where she built a life defined by kindness and love for all of those around her. For nearly 20 years, she worked as a paraprofessional at Harborside Middle School in Milford, a career that reflected her caring nature and desire to help others.

Karen was a truly selfless person whose greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. She cherished every moment with the people she loved, whether celebrating life's milestones or simply enjoying each other's company. She had a beautiful smile that could brighten any room and a unique laugh that was unmistakably hers. Her sense of humor and generous heart are memories her family and friends will treasure forever.

Throughout her illness, Karen faced every challenge with extraordinary courage, dignity, and grace. Even during the most difficult days, she never lost her love for others or the kindness that defined her. She continued to put her family first, finding strength in those she loved while inspiring everyone around her.

 Our family is immensely proud Karen for the bravery and courage she showed throughout her battle with cancer, her strength is an inspiration to all who knew and loved her.

Karen was a devoted mother to her daughter Jaclyn Chadwick and her son Nicholas Chadwick. A proud grandmother to Nicolle Chadwick, Gabriella Foley, and Ryan Foley. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her world, and she loved them unconditionally.

She is survived by her loving mother, Sheila Lopez; her stepmother, Fran Lopez; her sister, Jennifer Soldi her husband Marc Soldi and there children Mitchell and Marissa, her brother Gregory Lopez and his Daughter Haleigh. Along with many extended family members.She is Predeceased by her father Richard Lopez.

Although our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort in knowing that her legacy of love, kindness, and strength will never fade. She will be deeply missed and forever carried in the hearts of all who loved her. She has left behind a void that can never be filled. The loss of her presence will be felt every day, but the memories we've created and the love she shared with us will remain with our family forever.

Karen left this world knowing just how deeply she was loved and appreciated. Throughout her battle with cancer, she was surrounded by an outpouring of love, prayers and support from her family and friends. That love carried her through her journey and brought her comfort, reminding her of the lasting impact she had on so many hearts.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who offered their prayers, love, and support throughout Karen's illness. To honor her wishes there will be no service's, instead we will have a Celebration of life at a later date. Donations can be made to the Lustgarten foundation in Karen's name.
