Leo James Dufour, Sr.

Leo James Dufour, Sr., age 83 of Newington, widower of Diane Dufour, entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 25, 2022 at The Hospital of Central CT in New Britain, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family.

Leo was born January 22, 1939, in Madawaska, Maine, the beloved son of the late Joseph Dufour & Simone Dufour.

Leo was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.  He was a skilled carpenter and worked for many years alongside his son. Leo enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren; especially attending their sports games, award ceremonies, and other milestone moments. He loved playing board games with his great-grandchildren.  Leo’s hobbies included crafting, wood working, and coin collecting.  He will be missed deeply by all who had the honor of knowing him.

Leo is survived by his: son, Leo “Jim” James Dufour, Jr. & daughter-in-law Lisa; daughter, Jeanette Bolduc & son-in-law Guy; four grandchildren, Kyle Martin, Lily Edwards, Nicole Bolduc, and Aaron Bolduc; four great-grandchildren Cayden Kemp, Kyler Kemp, Calliope Martin, and Julian Martin; and a host of extended family and friends who will cherish his memory.

A Memorial Service Honoring Leo’s Life will be held Thursday, March 3, 2022, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at; Luddy-Peterson Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St. New Britain, CT. 06051. Interment will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
