Luc Morin, 65, of New Britain, CT. and his loving fiancée Christine Roux Banavige, 52, of New Britain, CT. passed away unexpectedly on July 30, 2022, as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Luc was born on August 11, 1956, in Quebec, Canada and was the son of the late Lionel and Olivette (Maheux) Morin.
Luc was a loving father, grandfather, fiancé, brother, uncle and friend. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed hunting, utterly loved cows, and had a knack for fixing cars. He was a proud Pépère and adored his grandchildren. He worked as a copy technician for over 20 years at Flo-Tech and previously worked as a machinist at Stanadyne LLC. He will be sadly missed and will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Luc is survived by his daughter Patricia Morin-Baechle and her husband Frederick of New Hartford, CT; his son Christian Morin and his wife Summer of New Britain, CT; Christine’s daughters Kimberly Banavige of New Britain, CT and Elissa Mae Banavige of New Britain, CT; his three sisters, Rose Angele Morin of Quebec, Canada; Sylvie Heath and Arthur Matos of East Hartford, CT and Odette Morin of Wethersfield, CT; his sisters-in-law Francine Richard and Lynn Morin; his 4 precious grandchildren Valerie, Ariana, Christian Jr. and Victoria; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Luc was predeceased by his loving fiancée Christine Roux Banavige; his two brothers Ghyslain Morin and Francois Morin, his sister Martine Morin and sister-in-law Raymonde Morin.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Luddy & Peterson's Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, New Britain, CT. 06051. Burial will be private. Due to health issues, the family requests that no lilies be sent to the funeral home, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Memorial Giving, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or at www.stjude.org
