It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Lynn Schreiner, age 62, of Cromwell, CT. Lynn passed away peacefully on July 10th, 2025 after a courageous battle with Pancreatic cancer.
Born on January 15, 1963, in New Britain, CT, Lynn was a beloved daughter of Patricia Rocco and the late Santo Rocco, who lovingly raised her with her sisters, Lori Shirely and the late Lisa Ferron. Lynn graduated from New Britain High School in 1981 and later completed her associates degree from Tunxis Community College and Human Resource certificate program at St. Joseph’s College. Lynn later moved to Berlin, CT to build her home and raise her family. She was married to David Schreiner for 32 years.
Lynn was a devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She is survived by her two children; Katie Whitten (James) and Kristopher Schreiner (Faith), with whom she shared endless support and love. Her greatest honor was being a grandma to Oliver and Cooper. She was known as Oliver’s “Best Friend” and that bond will forever be remembered and cherished. Lynn is also survived by several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Lynn’s unwavering determination to work during her treatment and until the final weeks of her life, demonstrates her drive, devotion and passion. She was a team member of Freshpoint Connecticut for 14 years and the Sena Home, working with individuals with disabilities, for 15 years. Her coworkers were family, whom she valued and kept her spirit going.
Lynn had a creative soul. She found joy in scrapbooking and canvas painting, often expressing herself and memories through her art. Her children are forever grateful for the years of pictures placed perfectly in photo albums to continue to remember and hold dearly. Lynn also treasured quiet moments to focus and enjoy her Hallmark movie lineup, French vanilla coffee and sweets.
Lynn was a woman of strength and resilience throughout her multiple battles with cancer and will be forever remembered through the pictures, videos, letters and memories.
