Michele Lucas

Michele Ann Lucas, 79, of Danbury, CT, left for her heavenly abode on March 24, 2023. 

Michele was born on November 23, 1943 in Utica, New York where she lived until 1966.

In 1961, while they were both still in High School, she met Patrick Lucas, also of Utica.  They married on October 2, 1965 and began what was to be a 58-year marriage, and went on to have five boys, Christopher, Scott, Patrick, Eric, and Gregory. 

While raising five boys and working full-time, Michele earned a bachelor’s degree from the College of New Rochelle, and a master’s in social work from Columbia University. She thereafter began a long and successful career as a therapist in private practice, and became certified in many healing modalities.

Michele is predeceased by her parents, her brother Johnny, and her beloved son Eric.  She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Patrick, her brother Gary Higgins and his wife Trudy, her sons Christopher and wife Christy, Scott and wife Marie, Patrick and wife Natalie, and Gregory, and her ten grandchildren—Joseph, Sean, Megan, Nicholas, Jackson, Liliana, Samantha, Abigail, Cassandra, and David.

Michele was passionate about helping others and dedicated the last half of her life to bringing therapeutic healing to individuals and couples.  Michele also volunteered her time working with the Fairfield County Trauma Response Team (FCTRT), where she helped bring therapeutic healing to first responders suffering from emotional trauma.
