Nancy Jane "Nan" Pelletier, nee George, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2024, in Enfield, CT, at the age of 86. She was born on December 13, 1937, in Hartford, CT.
Nancy was a devoted Wife, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend. She met the love of her life, Robert, while growing up in Hartford and they married after his discharge from the Navy. They bought one of the very first homes built in Enfield Connecticut's, Green Manorville section. There she made a home and raised five children - Donald, Ronald, Kimberley, Paul and Andrew. Early on, she was a den mother for local cub scouts and cherished time spent camping with her family. Later, she and her husband enjoyed a full sized trailer getaway, tucked away in the woods at Sunset View Farms in Monson, MA. There she took delight in feeding all manner of woodland creatures including squirrels, chipmunks and raccoons, as well as many species of feathered friends. Nancy's love for animals, especially cats, was evident through her care for her companion cat, Rascal. She was known for her passion for collecting Precious Moments figurines, Christmas ornaments, and village pieces, creating a magical Christmas atmosphere for her children and grandchildren each year. Nancy also loved long road trips to Branson Missouri with her husband, where they would often visit the Precious Moments Factory and go to music concerts.
Nancy and Husband Robert, also known as "Mr. and Mrs. P", were well loved by many students of Enfield's Enrico Fermi High School, classes of 1981 and 1982. They hosted many Lazy Blaze band rehearsals at their home and became locally legendary for their hospitality and genuine love of these high school friends in this circle.
Nancy worked and retired from Milton Bradley/Parker Brothers in East Longmeadow, MA. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and love for her family.
Nancy is survived by her Sister, Mary Severns of Broad Brook, CT. Her first Son, Donald Pelletier and partner, Virginia Santos of Ellington, CT.
