Noelle Mullin Obituary

We are heartbroken to share that Noelle (Michelle) Kennedy Erin Carmichael Mullin, 53, of
Bethel, CT, passed away unexpectedly on November 27, 2022.  Noelle is survived by her loving
husband, Richard Mullin of Bethel, and son Liam.
Noelle was born in Winchester, Connecticut on October 8, 1969, and was the daughter of
Robert and Hughette Kennedy and sibling of Jeremy Carmichael, Pamela Carmichael, Julie
Carmichael, Ellen Carmichael, Christopher Kennedy, and Nadine Kennedy.  She grew up in New
Milford, CT, where she attended New Milford High School and graduated with the class of
1987.  She went on to study primary education at Western Connecticut State University,
graduating in 1991.
After graduating, she worked in marketing, advertising, and social media. She was a senior
director at TMP Worldwide and early on she won the company’s leadership program to be
named “Leader of leaders”.  She started multiple companies including RFP Assistants and had
many of the country’s top companies as clients. She also worked in the entertainment industry.
She most recently worked for Veterinary Care Group and National Veterinary Association.
Noelle met the love of her life, Richard Mullin, in January 1988 and they were married in August
1993. Noelle and Richard had a very loving marriage. They were best friends and shared a
wonderful life, rarely apart. Noelle and Richard encouraged each other through life and helped
each other through their struggles. They most recently celebrated their 29th wedding
anniversary in New York City, at a hotel overlooking the 911 Memorial and drinking from the
glasses Noelle saved from their engagement night. Ric’s nickname for Noelle was “beautiful”.
He will forever miss her smile and their weekly date nights at Maggie McFly’s.
She adored her son Liam and was so proud of the man he was becoming. She supported him
and protected him like a mama bear. She cherished everything about him.
Noelle recently found her biological family in Northern Ireland. She loved meeting her
Carmichael siblings (Pamela, Julie, Jeremy, and Ellen) and the entire family. She loved catching
up on all the missed years and felt loved and an important part of the family.
In addition to Noelle’s role as a loving and supportive wife, mother, and sibling, she loved
writing and put her thoughts down in a blog called My Mental Mumblings. In her free time,
Noelle enjoyed listening to music, going to concerts, photography, and traveling.
Noelle has lived in Bethel for the past 24 years where she enjoyed spending time with her
husband and son, her loving dogs Stella, Loki and Fiadh, entertaining her friends at Fort
Awesome, gardening, doing home projects, and cuddling on the couch with her love Ric.
Everyone who knew Noelle knew how passionate she was, full of light and laughter.  We will
miss her more than words can say.  She will be forever loved and forever remembered. Noelle
was a bright light. She was full of love and compassion. Countless people have called to tell us
stories of how she reached out to help them. She was known for her red hair and her big hugs.

There will be a celebration of Noelle’s beautiful life on Saturday, January 14, 2023, from 12 – 5
p.m. at Maggie McFly’s in Brookfield, CT for friends and family.
