Roberta Marie (Gilbo) Ventre

Roberta Marie Gilbo Ventre “Bunnie” age 78, devoted wife and best-friend of Daniel J. Ventre Sr., passed away at Griffin Hospital on July 7, 2020. 

Roberta was born in Keene, New Hampshire on June 23, 1942 to the late Robert Gilbo and Louise Whippie Gilbo.  She moved to Connecticut in the late 40’s.  Roberta was a loving, caring, and strong woman to all who knew her.  She worked in the healthcare industry until she retired from Lord Chamberland in 2015.  Roberta loved cooking, her Mary’s flower garden, holidays, the color green, and watching the little league world series with her husband; but most of all she loved spending time with her family. 

Roberta is survived by her: husband, Daniel J. Ventre Sr.;  four children,  Michael, Renee, Debra, Kimberly; six grandchildren, Cassandra, Felicia, Justin, Daniel III, Jenny, Nicholas; ten great-grandchildren, Shawnie, Jasmine, Airieonna, Isabelle, Benjiaman, Adien, Logan, Jacob, Luke, Leah; a special uncle, Pat D’Ambrosio, and a host nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Roberta is predeceased by her: son, Daniel Jr.; sister, Magaret; brother, Daniel; niece, Wendy; and special aunt Hansine.

Friends may greet the family on Friday, July 17, 2020 at 10:00am, for a Memorial Mass at the Church of Assumption, 61 N. Cliff St. Ansonia, CT. 06401. Interment will be held privately.  Due to COVID-19 please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
