Robin Marie Pogue

Robin Marie Pogue, of West Hartford, CT, beloved wife of Dale G. Pogue (deceased), passed away peacefully January 12, 2021 at the age of 94, after a long illness. After earning her RN degree from Prairie State College, Chicago Heights, IL, she provided care for maternity patients at Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey, IL and veterans at the VA Hospital in Newington, CT. Throughout her life, she enjoyed caring for people whenever she saw a need. In addition, Robin and her husband lived for two years in England, where she treasured her time learning about another culture. In Connecticut, Robin was an active member of West Hartford United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir and served as a Sunday school teacher, financial secretary, and bazaar chairwoman. She was a gracious hostess, excellent cook and seamstress, and frequently made it her mission to help the elderly in her church. She always made it clear that she was available to help her family, if necessary, and she enjoyed experiencing adventures with them.

She leaves her daughter, Valerie of West Hartford, CT; son, Harold and his wife Lita of Framingham, MA; granddaughter, Natasha and her fiancé Harbaljit of Austin, TX; grandsons, Daniel and David, of Framingham, MA; son, Daniel and his wife Gail of Westlake, OH; granddaughter, Elizabeth and her husband Brian of Laurel, MD.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Luddy & Peterson Funeral Home, New Britain, CT 06051. A memorial service will be held online on February 7, 2021 at 2 PM.
