Ronald Muse Obituary

In Loving Memory of Ronald Monroe Muse

A Life Remembered

Ronald Monroe Muse, beloved husband, father, grandfather, veteran, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026, at Norwalk Hospital in Norwalk, Connecticut at the age of 92.

He was born on December 25, 1934, in New Haven, Connecticut, to the late Carlton Muse and Catherine Robinson. Ronald was one of three children and was preceded in death by his brothers, Henry Robinson and Carlton Muse.

On February 13, 1957, Ronald married the love of his life, Gennie Austin. Together they built a family rooted in love, strength, and commitment, sharing nearly 70 years of cherished memories.

Ronald proudly served in the United States Army from June 26, 1952, to March 18, 1954, and received an honorable discharge. Following his military service, he was employed by the Jewish Community Center in Bridgeport, Connecticut, where he faithfully worked until his retirement.

Ronald's greatest joy was his family. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Janet Johnson.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his devoted wife, Gennie Austin; his four sons, Ronald Muse, Vincent Muse, Kenny Muse, and Henry Muse; his three daughters, Geri Shepard, Katherine Weekes, and Clarissa Cordone; 23 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

Ronald will be remembered for his gentle wisdom, generous spirit, quiet dignity, and unwavering love for his family. Though our hearts ache, we find comfort in the memories he leaves behind—family gatherings, shared laughter, treasured stories, and the enduring values he instilled in those he loved.

As we say goodbye, we remember that love does not end with farewell. Ronald's spirit lives on in the hearts of his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

May he rest in eternal peace, and may his memory forever be a blessing.
