Rosanna Petrossi, 79, longtime resident of Bristol, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Frederick J. Petrossi for 45 years.
Rosanna was born on December 15, 1942 in Piacenza, Italy; the daughter of the late Rose and Giuseppe Sartori of Wallingford, CT.
Rosanna graduated from Lyman Hall High School. She retired from the State of Connecticut Department of Corrections where she was a secretary.
Rosanna met the love of her life, Frederick and they married on May 4, 1968. They moved to Southington where they raised their three children.
Rosanna was a devoted stay-at-home mother to her three children. Rosanna and Frederick raised their family in Southington. Rosanna’s greatest enjoyment was doing everything for her family, friends and many nieces and nephews. She was active in all of her children’s sports. She enjoyed making all the holidays and family get-togethers really special.
Rosanna loved having coffee with her many neighbors and friends. There was always a pot of coffee brewing. She enjoyed going to dances with her husband and their friends, shopping, and most importantly our family trips and vacationing in Rhode Island with her grandchildren.
Rosanna’s greatest joy was becoming a grandmother. She enjoyed all the time she spent with her beautiful grandchildren. She was always in attendance cheering on her grandchildren in their sports: baseball, football, soccer, wrestling, basketball, karate, and many dance recitals and each first day of school.
