Obituary
Sandra Lee (Bogue) Caron, age 81 of New Britain, CT; entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 24, 2022 at the Water’s Edge Nursing Home of Middletown, CT, following a brief illness.
Sandra was born April 14, 1941; the beloved daughter of the late Paul E. Bogue, Sr. and Frances E. (Ford) Bogue. Sandra, or “Rusty” as she was affectionally known, grew up living with her grandparents, Edwin & Ellen Ford in Winsted, CT. She attended St. Anthony School and graduated from The Gilbert School in 1959. After graduation, Rusty worked for 14 years as a payroll clerk for Winsted Memorial Hospital. She later was employed for 16 years with Danfield Thread as a factory worker. Rusty finally retired in 2006 after 20 years as a telephone receptionist and security secretary with Aetna Insurance Co.
Rusty adored her family and had many friends whom she loved spending time with. She enjoyed playing cards, building puzzles, watching sports, and attending family gatherings, especially picnics. Rusty had a positive outlook on life and always had a smile on her face. She will be missed deeply by all who had the honor of knowing her.
In addition to her parents and grandparents, Rusty was predeceased by her: sister, Paula-Jean Cochran (Bogue), and two brothers, Douglas J. Jones, and Paul E. Bogue, Jr.
Rusty is survived by her: three half-sisters, Bonny Ellen (Jones) Hanko, Luana (Bogue) Keefe & brother-in-law James, and Donna (Bogue) Cowan & brother-in-law Ross; four half-brothers, Edwin J. Jones & sister-in-law Jacqueline, Robert F. Jones, John W. Bogue, and Gary R. Bogue & sister-in-law Sharon; several nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart; and a host of extended family and friends who will honor Rusty’s memory.
As Rusty requested, she will be buried with her grandparents in New St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Winsted, CT. A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Luddy-Peterson Funeral Home, 205 South Main St. New Britain, CT.
