Suzanne (Connelly) Durand

This obituary would have ended here if she had her choice, so our family is writing what we know would make her laugh, something she wants us to be able to do at this time, so here it is... Suzanne was born to Robert and Ann Connelly on March 23, 1952 in New Britain, Ct. She was an unofficial advocate for marijuana use where ironically she chose 4-20-2019 to pass on. As a caring, loving mother, with a great sense of humor, Sue was usually drinking a Coke, reading horror novels and watching dateline. She loved to rant how she hated Dr. Phil but mom wouldn't miss a show! And please don't ask if she's asleep, doesn't matter if she's snoring, everybody knows " I'm just resting my eyes " She is survived and will be truly missed by her daughter and son-in-law, Sherri and James Priester; daughters Jenny Mangiafico, Heather Johnson, Shannon Durand with Christopher Moore, son Nicholas Durand; brother Robert Connelly; 10 grandchildren, Monica Mangiafico, Joseph and Janel Priester, Michael and Joseph Feliciano, Nyraia, Taraia, and Aviana Johnson, Jarell and Janiah Moore; and 7 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents, a brother and two sisters, and son in law Cornell Johnson, whom we're sure was her favorite!! We will have a private gathering as mom ordered, because she said " I'll come back and haunt you all if you waste money and throw a big shindig" and we take that threat seriously so we blew it here. Mom is at peace with no more foot cramps in her hands, and like the song that never ends, neither will our love for her.
