Thomas R. Pollack, 78 of Harwinton, husband of Judi Naylor Pollack, entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 21, 2021, at Hartford Hospital, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family.
Tom was born April 11, 1943, in Torrington, Connecticut but lived in Harwinton his entire life. Tom was the beloved son of the late Frederick and Olga (Lukcso) Pollack. A graduate of Torrington High School, class of 1961. From 1967 to 2003, Thomas worked as the Highway Supervisor for the Town of Harwinton. He served on many of the town’s committees, such as the Conservation and Pension Studies. Tom held The Connecticut Road Master Certificate through the University of Connecticut, and frequented Conn-OSHA seminars. He was a member of the volunteer ambulance and fire departments for several years.
Tom enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and gardener. He loved spending time with his family and was always telling jokes. He will be missed deeply by all who had the honor of knowing him.
Along with his parents, Tom was predeceased by his brother, David Pollack.
In addition to Judi, his wife of 51 years, Tom is survived by his: daughter, Dawn Fertonardo and son-in-law Michael of Tampa, Florida. A brother-in-law Ron Naylor of New Hartford; another brother-in-law Brian Naylor of Burlington; sister-in-law Roberta Pollack of Winsted; two nephews, Gregory Naylor of Massachusetts, Scott Pollack of Winsted; niece, Karen Pavano of Winsted; several cousins; and a host of extended family and friends who will cherish his memory.
