Walter Pikora

Walter Pikora, known to all as Wally, passed away peacefully on
September 29, 2025, surrounded by family. Born on March 10,
1930, Wally was a long resident of New Britain, Connecticut. He
retired from his career at The Stanley Works after working for
more than 40 years in their print shop. Wally was an avid sports
fan with a particular love for horse racing. A dedicated family man,
he also enjoyed traveling throughout New England with Alice, his
copilot through life, and their family. Wally will be remembered for
his vibrant storytelling skills and the care he put into maintaining
relationships with family and friends no matter the distance. Wally
was predeceased by his treasured wife of 63 years, Alice, and by
his brothers, twins Joseph and Stanley. He is survived by his sons
William Pikora (and partner Adriana Kalthoff) and Michael Pikora
(and wife Laureane), as well as his granddaughters Ruth Wagner
(and husband Jesse) and Ellen Pikora.
Our family would like to thank the Apple Rehab team for their
exceptional care. Special thanks to Keishla, Jackie and Sana,
who were always by Wally’s side to comfort him.
Private burial will be at the convenience of the family.
