William T. Temple Sr.

William L. Temple Sr., 79, of Plainville, CT, passed away on Friday, March 3, 2023, at home after a short
illness, surrounded by his family. Bill was born on September 22, 1943 in New Britain. He was the son of
late Harold Temple and Elizabeth (Mayville) Noyses. Bill married Diana on June 26, 1965. They were
happily married for 57 years.

William served in the Navy from 1960 to 1964. He served on the USS Maloy. He received a good conduct
medal. He was honorably discharged in December 1966.

He is survived by his sons William L. Temple Jr. of Plainville, Robert J. Temple of Bristol, his daughter
Shirley E. Welch of New Britain & his grandchildren Ashley, Matthew, and Marc Waddell, Bobbi (Temple)
Archim, Jordan Temple, and Gina Temple, and his great granddaughter Ella E. Davis. William is also
survived by a brother Chris Temple. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. William was
preceased by his loving wife Diana L. Temple.

William’s hobbies included slot race cars where he meet his friends Dawn and Timmy who were with
him until the end. He also liked watching women and men’s Uconn basketball, military channel, NFL
Football, animal planet, and the history channel. William most of all loved spending time with his family,
friends and his four legged friends.

William will be truly missed by his family and friends.

Services will be held at Luddy & Peterson’s funeral home, 205 S. Main Street, New Britain, CT on Friday
March 17, 2023 from 9-12, with a military service to be held at 11:30 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association or the National Kidney
Foundation.
